Faithful Journey Bios

Scott Roon

Scott Roon - Baritone

Scott has lived his entire life in the West Michigan area. He was not always focused on singing, however he grew up involved in instrumental music (trumpet). When approached by his junior high choir director about singing, he laughed it off (a decision he now regrets). He started finding his voice after his high school years by joining the church choir. After many years of singing in the choir and praise teams, he decided to move it up a notch and joined a vocal mixed group, "A Touch of Joy," for 13 years. Scott also sang locally with the Hark Up Christmas shows for several years. Southern Gospel music has always interested him and he loves listening to and singing those harmonies. Scott and his wife MaryAnn live in Hudsonville, MI and have been married for 36 years and have three sons (all married).

Dennis Deters

Dennis Deters - Bass

Dennis is 21 (so he wishes!). He is the father of three children, one of whom is married and Dennis has one grandson. Dennis has been married to his wife Jan for 28 years. He grew up in Grandville, Michigan and he and his family now reside in Hudsonville, Michigan. Dennis has always had a love for music and began his singing career at the ripe old age of two!! One of his lifelong dreams has been to sing in a traveling quartet. In the summer of 2011 that dream took shape when he joined Faithful Journey Quartet as their bass. Dennis' wish is that you will see the love of Christ and his love of music as he takes the stage and the road with Faithful Journey.
